Interesting.... Six stroke engine ??!?

Awesome idea, I wonder how hard it is on the pistons. Going from hot/cold that fast, that often. Also in the article he talks about using distilled water and that is not too cheep right now either. 94-octane gas is still cheaper than Eva water. (joke)

Not a problem. I've got my own still and I'm making distilled water for about 25 cents/gallon. The problem is that I can oly make about 3-4 gallons/day so it would limit the range a bit. :burnout:Not to mention the fact htat my wife would get upset if I started burning her drinking water!

How hard is it on pistons....going from hot/cold that fast, that often? I would guess, just about the same as a regular 4 stroke. Cold fuel/air coming in and hot ignition/ exhaust, every four cycles! I would think since the six stroke engine runs at a much cooler overall temperature, the thermo shock would actually be less than in a 4 stroke. Hmmmmmmmm!!?

Great article. There are people already using alcohol and water injection on their Turbo cars now to cool things down a bit.

The 6 stroke idea is definitely a new one though!

the water isn't really an issue. Reverse Osmosis will very cheaply produce distilled quality water, but for his application i think softened water would be sufficient. Small softeners are also inexpensive and could be made portable with ease.
