Silent Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 alright, took a small trip in the ole z today, moving it to a garage to pull the motor. sounds easy doesn't it? WRONG! rollin down the road, i race a friend of mine in his bolt on sti. nifty, door to door till 120. nothing big here. about 3 miles up the road, i see a squirt of oil hit the windshield. hmm, great get to where im goin, the whole passenger side of the block is covered in oil! source, valve cover gasket, BRAND NEW FELPRO 14 dollar sucker too. the car must know something i don't, hell the cork gaskets didn't leak this much, just the occasional dribble. oh well, time to pull it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What's the best material for these things that haunt our minds and pocketbooks? In all my previous experience, a properly applied cork gasket works. Thanks!
