qwik240z
What Master Cylinder should I use with Modern MotorSports Extreme 13" Brake Kit? Maybe best question for Ross, but does anyone have any suggestions? Cyrus, I just had the MMS Extreme 13" Bake Kit installed on my car, front and rear. Ross told me that you can use the stock master cylinder or the 280ZX master. I am running the ZX master and an adjustable proportioning valve but have yet to drive it with the new brakes. My car should be finished at the shop by the weekend. I can't wait!

Z-Gad
You'd probably be better off with the 15/16 280zx master cylinder due to the extra volume for the large brakes. That was the route I chose as well, even though I went with the Arizona Z kits...
cyrus
Where can I buy a new MC the best I have forund is $258!!!!!!!
qwik240z
Cyrus, see my PM to you. Also, my car just got road tested today. It has way too much pedal travel before the brakes engage. I am wondering if it is due to the larger bore MC. I am going to post a new thread to see if anyone knows. I will do a search first.
JMortensen
Too small would be the problem there if it were related to the master size. Large master = less pedal throw and more pedal effort Small master = more pedal throw and less pedal effort Did you adjust the pushrod when you swapped the master? That's a pretty common thing to miss and missing it means a LONG throw. Also, make sure you don't drop the reaction disk when you're messing around in there. JMortensen
I've got a genuine Nissan one for sale that has about 40K on it in the classifieds. Think I paid ~$200.
