clarkspeed
Just curious if anyone has tried the Spin Werkes wheels available through Racer Parts Wholesale. They look a little funky but the prices are good. They seem to have plenty of options available for offest and widths.
OlderThanMe
AHHH! those prices are crazy!!! Diamonds are like 4 pounds more and 1/5 the cost.
jt1
I've got Spin Werkes (formerly Circle Racing) custom Pro 6's on my car. Very nicely made, 14.5 #, fit perfectly, nice polish. They are quite pricey. John
clarkspeed
The Spin Werkes are not too bad compared to other custom offset wheels like CCW. AHHH! those prices are crazy!!! Diamonds are like 4 pounds more and 1/5 the cost. Wait until you try and put the Diamonds over a big brake kit. Their 16" wheel has a 15" center. And 4 pounds at the wheel is like 40 on the car. Guest JasonDTM
You could also take a look at Kodiak Racing Wheels, I know a few guys that run them on 911's and they love them. The downside is, they take forever for wheels.
415DZ
Bumping a seriously old thread here, but I wanted to see if anyone knows if Spinwerks are still available anywhere? I'd love to get my grubby little hands on a set of 16x8 wheels! Why didn't I buy these last year?!?!
rooger82
I bought my set of Spinwerks from Bisimoto. I don't see them on their site anymore so I don't know if they still sell them.Try giving them a call.
Jay Gadsby
I had contacted a vendor for spin werkes, I was told they recently were sold to another owner and stopped manufacturing wheels. They may be starting again at some point in the future from what I was told. Edited January 6, 2015 by Jay_Gadsby
mistah mofro
have no idea what spinwerks are honestly. Their ok wheels. I got mine second hand 16x9.5-0 but I just sold them recently. Couldnt get them balanced for shit since apparently the centers arent perfect, you need the centering adapter when balancing them which I dont so I gave up. Other than that they were solid wheels. Even took a good curb slap and only dented the lip but still held air with no cracks or signs to replace. I'd recommend them
jt1
What's a centering adapter?
rooger82
I have a set of 16x9.5 -35 and 16x9.5 -25 that I picked up like a year ago. Not really that expensive, ended up being like $1000
clarkspeed
Wow this was an old post. Anyway it is not unusual for custom race wheels not to have a true center hole. Most race tire shops spin balance with a Hub and lug nuts.
jt1
The spinwerkes pro6's had true centers. You spec'd the diameter along with the other dimensions.
