  1. have no idea what spinwerks are honestly. Their ok wheels. I got mine second hand 16x9.5-0 but I just sold them recently. Couldnt get them balanced for shit since apparently the centers arent perfect, you need the centering adapter when balancing them which I dont so I gave up. Other than that they were solid wheels. Even took a good curb slap and only dented the lip but still held air with no cracks or signs to replace. I'd recommend them
  2. Not really some small stuff with arms and tie rods. In other news I got a pair Work Meisters.
  3. I've been following this and I can say this is going to look awesome when its done. Not to mention almost factory-ish finish will be a nice touch
  4. So digging the air dam, available anytime soon? . Any reason why you went with a 4 point cage? Deciding on getting a 4 point w/door bars/intrusion or 6 point for overall reinforcement especially the floors.
  5. More pics, went drifting a few weeks ago and forgot my fricking go pro so no footage and the only footage I do have is on my iPhone. Heres a pic for stuffs. Car has fuel cell now, just waiting on a e12-80 module so I can get back out.
  6. ha, never had stickers. Those were actually paperback comic book strips!
  7. Well the car has got some changes since the last time I posted. The car now sports UP Garage S13 Coilovers all around, MSA Stainless headers, some basic gauges, front t3 camber plates, extended front lca/rods, and simply cleaned up the wiring with same basic loom. I will be getting more things within the coming month for a local drift series (Boost Series). 8. For my car in running 16x9.5 in the with 215/60 lots of traction, then to 205/50, then to 195/50 with little difference other than easier to feel when the car is sliding. Spring rates are kinda meh with Integra DC2 coils that are more for street then track. This car LOVES oversteer which is a good and bad thing for drifting because the front suspension cant hold much angle if you go for wide transitions. Is there a "feeling" between grip and drift? It reacts like any car would just be ready to catch the wheel since if you don't control the rear end it will come right around. With my mode the steering ALMOST feels stock other than a bit more steering wheel rotation, though problem is you only can get so much lock on a manual rack before it gets harder and harder to pull out of deep angles. To be honest I can tell you all my instances with this ad my previous car but it all comes down to one thing: SEAT TIME. Everyone will tell you that the Z sucks for drifting and almost impossible but ofcourse they themselves have not tried it to have a real opinion on what's possible. I'll put another video up where you can see how the car acts after the modifications soon.
  9. Yeah will do next time. Right now I just have extended arms, tie rods, removed rack limiters, and decided to remount my tension rod in a way that my 9.5's won't hit them at full lock. I haven't driven on track other than some "off track testing". Next I'm going get the knuckles shortened. Btw all fan work is done from Marcus Fry Enterprises. Hoping to get back to the track january/febuary.
  10. Everyone talks about steering lock. This is my car with no steering mods what so ever just Coilovers and bushings, i mean it takes alittle bit more effort and know where the limit of the car is but do able with little steering modifications at all though your power difference between may require more angle. Currently I have extended arms and tie rods for more angle with no mods to the knuckles yet although I can't go crazy with angle since I have the manual rack here....can't wait to go back to the track.
  11. As title says looking for hatchback door with or without glass in the san Francisco bay area. Cash in hand and ready for pickup.
  12. no i just dont care how it looks at the moment because I want it to drive well and have all the components functioning at its best. Simply put a pretty face dont make you go faster, it doesnt get you sponsors, and it does win you competitions all it does it gives you a piece of eye candy when you look at it from a far.. Yes, Thank You. This car i got in a crap condition but slowly want to make it more of a track car before actually having the appeal of looking like one. This car is by far the ugliest car i owned period and is becoming quite an eyesore to be honest. But when I have plans like fuel cell, 6 point roll cage, stock metal fenders, and steering angle mods on the to do list in the coming future exterior crap can wait. Sorry my Z doesnt sit in a garage. ANYWAYS. heres a quick gopro video from that weekend. Dont mind the clunk noise a few bolts in the rear end came loose. car looks like ass and its really starting to weigh on me that it needs to change. Front is with marcus fry for some angle mods upfront, so i have some time to think about it.
  13. After figuring out we didn't have enough monies for ASB this weekend we decided we might aswell host our own event for us to make some skids. The it was time to take care of some things before hand. Got some adjustable front coils to replace the current ones and urethane kit was on its way. Steering coupler was finished in a jiffy . Did my control arm arm bushing aswell.....of course that shit.. Was easy too but the old control arm bolt decided to completely cease in the bushing which required me to cut the bolt... Putting the rack bushings in was kinda Tricky to get them to seat properly but we got them in. Blow torch, wire wheel and knife made the mustache bar bushings quite easy Found nail in my tire a week prior to this and I pulled it out. Came back to it and it looks this. Luckily there was some 16's at work at put them on Set me up on 195/50....at the track went over a storm drain and all the tread came off with it. Luckily only one side And lastly the crossmember bushings were put in few days before event day. With a few phone calls, meet ups, packing, and last minute maintenance it was time to make the 200-220 mile round trip to Thunderhill. First time driving the car on track, first Time drifting in this car , and first time hostin our own event was quit a blast. I have some GoPro footage but mainly I wasn't concerned on recording since I just wanted to drive. Also acquired a new job That i start next monday and looking into some possible fixes for the Z since I have some hardcore axle click, weird clutching in noises at freeway speed and my 9.5's are smacking the tension rod. Next event we are trying to attend are Sonoma Drifts Winter Jam which all three of us are going to try to attend which requires cages and essentials. Till next time!
  14. PBM does make weld on DIY sleeves but obviously not a complete kit for s30z. 140 a pair and can be substituted for the original lower mount pending on which model/car the coilover is for.
  15. Fender artworks configure of some deadpool, ultimate spiderman and AVX comics with some adhesive spray. I was going to clearcoat it but it rained this night and had to sit in mosture allowing it to peel off slowly.
  16. Yeah their Spinwerks 16x9.5-0 with 205/55 upfront and 215\60 rears
  17. Well the L24 had a blown Headgasket and My friend offered up a L28 he had sitting around so I threw it in. Well the car has been pretty good lately and I got to actually make it to Vintage Auto Salon in San Leandro a old school J-tin meet and then....... 86Fest in Oakland at Toyote One Dealership. It was a great day other than a few hiccups the car drove relatively smooth the entire time. Me and the homies wanted to go take some group pics for da social media realm.... As we were setting up I noticed the steering was alittle funny..... we took the picture and then my friend saw a broken bolt on the floor which another thought it was his tranny bolt or something. Somehow my bumpsteer/spinldle bolt snapped when we pulled into the shooting spot which was weird since it happened while i was going straight rather turning or anything. Still dont know what caused it but I fixed the following morning although it cost me a trip over to Sonoma to cover their Summer Jam event. At the moment Im happy with the car and looking to improve its daily use.
