Is there any interest for something similar for the L28? The price would be around $300 with fuel rail, fuel rail mounting brackets and CNC head flange. JustinOlson Posted May 25, 2006 Author Share Posted May 25, 2006 Basically it does just fit together lick a lego set. The runners fit into the head flange, and the velocity stacks fit onto the runners. Then the plenum base fits on top of the velocity stacks. After that a plenum is formed from 0.125" aluminum sheet metal. I'm personally not machining these flanges, but am CAD capable and can design whatever needs to be designed. I just need a cylinder head in front of me to work off of and get precise measurements with calipers. The runners and velocity stacks I'm using are from http://www.rossmachineracing.com I'd love to come check out Rusch Motorsports. I have a couple ideas for the runners and I can send you a head to work from if needed. I have my own velocity stacks and runners I use. It would be easy to make up. I did some work similar to that with a tapered ball end mill but it wasnt that advanced. My only guess would be a 4 or 5 axis machine. just curious. Ive used alot of them personally. Looks great BTW. I think Our shop is gonna be purchasing a CNC VERY soon actually, so I can get things done faster. I have to source a EFI intake manifold to send him for a template. I should have the flange design finished by the end of the month.
