Administrators BRAAP Posted March 4, 2008 Administrators Share Posted March 4, 2008 Try this one you smarties! Hmmm... Lets see here.. '77 or '78 L28, (leaning towards '78 on this one), judging by blur of the valve cover, (and the fan is spinning), crankshaft is rotating at approx 750-800 RPM, transmission is in Neutral, and the parking brake had best be set!!! . m4xwellmurd3r
oops sorry forgot to tell everyone what mine was. It's a twin cylinder airplane engine http://www.enginehistory.org/air-cooled_cylinders_2.htm
OlderThanMe
What engine is this crankshaft from?
m4xwellmurd3r
That was too easy. Being able to see the oil holes made me realize it's a 9 cylinder. Googled up 9 cylinder engine and found this http://www.atomracing.se/6M.html Not sure of the engines exact name, but it's a CRAZY freaking W-9 Try this one
zero
That w9 is bad-ass. I am very curious to hear what that sounds like.

m4xwellmurd3r
that's an Alvis Silver Eagle 20. the car pictured is a 1933 Gotta save and upload to tiny pic if you don't want people looking back on your links. no one's tried mine yet though here's a hint. the engine cycle it uses, has something in common with our Datsuns.
