are you prevented from cutting off your spring perches and adding coilovers? You can source the parts to swap to adjustable coilovers for around $350 and then another $350 for camber plates and then labor if you are having someone else weld it all.

I did illuminas and adjustable coilovers but no camber plates yet for around $800 and it is worth every penny. I did all the work myself with the help of a few friends.

check my worklog that is linked in my sig to see some pics of my suspension.

Why don't you run in super production, If I were you, I'd look more at the ITE or open IT class as this would be a better match I'd think. You're really jumping into the deep end of the pool.

As far as suspension goes take a look at the threads at the top of this section and look for advice from Katman and Johnc. This is assuming you want to keep running struts. Super prodction doesn't put limits on the type of suspension that I'm aware of. So you can do things like double a-arm conversions, etc.

I used to run Sports Racers and from my experiance you will not have a prayer of ever competing against the converted formula or purpose built 2 seaters. Your wallet will be much better served if you buy a completed car and you will be racing much sooner, at a much lower cost.

Buy the GCR rule book from SCCA before you even start building your car. With the engine swap you will have to run in ITE, SPO, or SPU. You'll also have to put a full roll cage in the car, window net, fire extinguisher, fuel sampling port, external kill switch, and a number of other safety items.

safty procautions is not a problem and i already ordered a roll cage and etc... but thanks for the input.. i havent read the whole rule book i kinda skimmed through it... which class could i run in with a built l28et(proted and polished intake , head, exhaust, and the "works" forged pistons hybrid t3/t4 turbo, ame fuel management etc...etc i would also have the head and engine blueprinted) if i do all of that, ill just go all out on suspension. but there ar also restrictions in scca classes for suspension. so what class should i shoot for. i kinda threw out sports racer because it had the least restictions. and if i just buy a car it will ruin all the fun for me.
