Adjustable coilover parts in Australia ?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and girls it's Pete from Australia just loving this forum and all the information sharing. I know there has been alot of discussion on strut sectioning and coilovers but I am looking for Aussies that have done this and where in Australia they may have sourced the parts from? Any help? Thanks Pete.

Hey Pete,

Good to have another aussie on here. :) You can get gal threaded tube and nuts in the appropriate size from most plumbing/metal suppliers if you are looking to do this yourself. If you have access to a lathe you can then spin up the appropriate top mounts as required.

Otherwise you can contact Errol Smith at http://www.datrats.com.au who I am sure can supply Noltec coil over kit conversions.

Best of luck, and enjoy that Milawa wine for me.

I checked out local prices but ended up going with kit from arizona z car daves a good bloke to deal with and you know you getting a kit designed and ready to fit a zed

On the strut side i already had Bilsteins right round so when i did the strut sectioning i bought new Bilstein Vw rabbit struts for the front from USA as well struts arrived in 4 days Half the local cost quoted by Aussie bilstein dealers

Do you have a part number on the vw struts you ordered for the front? or is it any vw rabbit strut insert will work ??? and how much shorter are they then stock Z strut. thru my search efforts i think they are about 2 inches shorter which would require 2 inches cut out of the Z strut housing. any pictures?
