Last May I went to the drags for the first time (as an entrant) and took some footage of my night. Here's a short clip of what was a very exciting night. I'm hooked hard.

Thanks all. It was a very fun night and like I said I'm hooked. Just can't get back out there without some changes.

To answer some of the questions: The Mustang was running mid 10's. No idea why he had a chute. It's not a requirement unless you hit the 9's and that car didn't look like it could get there. As for mine, it's just a 383 with a c4, R200 with HR31 CV's. It was set up as a circuit car when I bought it but I had done a fair bit of kart racing so I wanted to try drag with this one. I took it to a really talented engine builder who got 500hp and 490tq, married it to the c4 and a new exhaust system. Came out really streetable and fun on the track it seems.

A few problems I'm facing atm are finding the right wheels to fit street slicks on, a cowl hood to allow a higher riser on the carby, full cage (which will make the thing illegal but will get me back on the track) and rewire the whole thing as I don't have speedo or taco (plus it's a mess although very well hidden).

I think I posted a vid of when we first fired up the engine last December. Here it is for those that are interested. http://streetrats.net/download.php?view.5

cheers
