jnjdragracing Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Hey guys, think I fixed the oil leak, engine is running and ready to go to the Dyno Wednesday, get some fine tuning and hopefully all will go okay, and on our way to SEZ#7 next Saturday. Here is a video I took of the engine running, it is 65 meg, 56k beware. Weather and my schedule have kept me away from the track, but I did go test the nitrous on the street Monday. I am only running a 50 shot to spool the turbo at the line, so it comes on around 3000 rpm's and shuts off at around 5000 rpm's. It is doing exactly what I want it to do... I am able to build 10-12 psi of boost on the footbrake (even on street tires), so I should be able to launch pretty hard on the ET Streets. If I get a chance to test this week before the event, I will. If not, I'll have plenty of time Sunday at SEZ to test and tune. Either way, you guys will have to wait until Sunday to find out Someone has to step up to challenge you for the SEZ crown, might as well be me... It seems like this time at SEZ they are going to be a lot of fast cars. We will be glad to run you if we don't brake, we do have a match race set up with Rip. I guess it is still on. Hopefully there will be a group of really fast cars to put on a good show for the guys still working on getting their cars together. I hope I don't break either. I figure I am going to find the next weakest link this weekend. I'll try to resist the urge to really run it hard until the weekend, so if it breaks, I'll atleast get to make a few passes at SEZ first. Tomorrow is to test the new tires, work on my launch and see how the car feels on the non-radial tires at speed. I am running the bias ply 26x11.5x16 ET Streets now and MT skinnies up front. I haven't had a chance to test them but hopefully will get to tomorrow (as long as the weather cooperates). As far as you guys go, I am looking forward to your match race with Rip. Your RX7 is one of the cleanest swaps I have seen and is a super sleeper. Noone expects to see it run what it runs. Hopefully, you'll be able to get some passes this time though.
