tybaldo
does someone knows which dohc cylinder head fit the l28et block?
BleachZee
The aftermarket OS head was DOHC and is impossible to find these days. no L-series came with DOHC from the factory if that's what you were thinking.
naviathan
Sounds like someone glanced through the post about "Name This Engine" and though they would try to find one. Not likely and if you do: 1. Good luck getting the funds 2. Good luck finding the parts to rebuild it.
BleachZee
I've known about the OS head for many years. They made it for both the 4 and 6 cylinder L-series. Buy an RB25DET engine.

Ditto its pretty much a l28t wit dohc but then again the price of swap is in a diff league than the zxt
rztmartini
do what all us noobs do...some research before you ask questions about building an engine... and also...
LamboZ
Ditto its pretty much a l28t wit dohcbut then again the price of swap is in a diff league than the zxt the price of the swap is WAY cheaper and easier then to find and buy that OS head. Trust me, i've been looking for one for years. And when I found one I couldnt afford it and couldnt get the guy to sell it.
tybaldo
what other engine dohc cylinder head fit the l28et rather than the os heads? im real serious about make an l28et dohc no joke please need feedback
LamboZ
Do a search on DOHC L series heads on this site, read up and you will find out all you need to know. theres nothing out there that just bolts right up. its 100% custom and would cost alot of money to get it done. the main question is why do you want a DOHC? people have hit 700+hp out of our crappy non-crossflow heads and in japan, shops have hit the 1000hp mark. If its just the look your going for on a nice DOHC engine layout then just go with a 2JZ or RB swap.
tybaldo
why? because i believe i can make a lot more of power out of that conversion. i read a lot of people already done it and i want to be the next one to do it, specially when here where i live no one have never seen something like it
BleachZee
A lot of people have not done it. A lot of people use the SOHC head that came on the L28 or swap to an RB engine. Maybe an RB30et block with an RB25DET head gives you 3.0L DOHC. That's a swap you can do. There is no DOHC L-series so there is no head to swap from another car. If you're talking about a custom made head from a KA engine.... you can find the thread and see what that's all about. That's only one case. JagdStealth
I thought the bolt holes and some of the oil passages from the RB25/6 head line up with the L28 block? Wasn't there a thread about that on here somewhere?
turbobluestreak
He might be referring to MACK, 1fastz and myself. As to my knowledge none of the heads are done yet. But if you wanted to be different you can try as we have or adapt the skyline head to fit or solve the restrictions of the factory L6 head. tbs
