TomoHawk
Well... I have the book that details all history of the the 49 cars, so I'm somewhat of a Tifosi myself, but that was a while ago since I read it. I have the Pininfarina script on my Z right now, so I'd undoubtably change it to the right one (if any) after I do the bodywork. Good point tho... Trevor
Tifosi is the Italian word to describe a group of fans. The term for a single male fan is Tifoso. The female singular version is Tifosa, and the plural term for an all female group is Tifose. caio

zwknhmr
Looks great to me - where did ya get it? You might try mid 70`s Honda CVCC (Civic). They are on the hatchback. I believe the MG`s from the same era had those too.
Zerrari GTO
For those interested, I've created a website with my progress pics. My kit differs in that I created the molds or altered an existing kit to create a unique design. The changes that I have made to the body are:-Oval mouth, smaller brake coolent vents - small hood with air vents - convertable - replica fiberglass dash w/ removable nacelle -bottom air scoops I will also have some replica hood pin sets and rear tail lights for those interested. I am currently working on plexi clear air scoops for the hood. You can visit me here http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2922491 Eric in So. Cal Finally got to check out your website; your car is looking very nice. Are you going to put a rag top on it? The quality of work going on with everybody's projects is top notch. It is really a great motivator to view the various ideas and the quality execution of those ideas.

Nope, the cvcc button is what we used on the doors, an the MG ones will work, but they are really big. For the trunk (or hatch) many use the stock hatchback release, but with a hook mounted under it like the ones used on a 275GTB. It's a ring with a hook that the push button latch release fits through.. I don't have a pic of one off the car, but here's a 275GTB with the latch hook many use on the trunk. It's not the same as the original gto ones, but works well. Chelle
Zerrari GTO
Zerrari, I prefer these guys for original hardware like lights... not cheap, but great quality. I have bought things for our Lambo as well from them and they sell only nice original or excellent reproductions. http://www.italparts.com/details.php?id=225&plaats=171&prijs=&item=14&status=&garage=&type=&terug=/overzicht.php?id=171^page=1 Chelle Hi Chelle, I tried your source and they told me they were out of stock and did not give any further details. Does anybody else have a source for good quality front turn signals?
Boy from Oz
... Does anybody else have a source for good quality front turn signals? Try this place http://www.usedferraris.net/ Type '250' into the search box. It mistakenly labels the clear lens lights as rear indicators. They also have the GTO door handles. When using this site you sometimes need to click on the 'new' and 'used' text above the displayed items to see more items. I got mine, and a few other items from small volume sellers on the Italian ebay, http://www.ebay.it/ Italy often has very cheap overseas postage compared to the rest of Europe. Every item purchased has arrived in Oz, the same goes for items from France (Veglia gauges) and Belgium (Ferrari horn button). If you are also looking for side indicators they were used on a Lancia Fulvia of the period so try searching there. Here is one Lancia stockist http://www.omicron.uk.com/omi-fulv.html
chelle
Boy from Oz, well those look to be the hooks like the 275 use on the trunk but that will solve one thing, though about $100 USA for a tiny chrome hook seems a bit high.. they do have quite a bit of other good stuff too thanx ! SpeedRacer
Zerrari GTO You might want to check this site http://www.ferraripartsexchange.com/ or this site http://www.allferrariparts.com/home.html

Chelle That's the one that I used, the 275. The shape and size compliment the Honda CVCC door handles. Easy to install, just some filing, and I got to keep the original key/lock from the Datsun. SidWell
Hi Guys, I thought you might like to see some of the work I am doing on my engine. While I am not to the point where I obsess about things like latches, I may get there some day.

TomoHawk
One f the first things I did on my 280Z was to change the hatch lock, since the oem one wasn't working. I used one from an MGA. I'll get a photo tomorrow. thxZ
VinhZXT
I've been searching and found a few options for the trunk lift: http://www.illinoislock.com/cam_locks.asp?id=605 and this http://www.knobsandhardware.com/products/view.aspx?sku=1273579&linkLoc=catalog Search on the above site for "finger pull" and you can find more cool stuff. They have more types of hooks that can be used on the trunk and look good. I personally like the ring hook better.
