RacerX
I did a search and didn't find anything posted about this on our site. Someone has just completed this engine swap into a 1969 Datsun 510. slownrusty
The S2K F20C is getting popular there are some brutally clean swaps done already. Here are some in one of my all time favorite cars the early RA Celica. Gabe Tyler over at Techno Toy Tuning has a beautiful conversion in his awesome AE86 Corolla - these are local to you SoCal guys: YEAH! RacerX
Yasin, May I ask where you found these Celica photos? I did a search and couldn't come up with anything like these pictures. thanks, Ernie/RacerX
slownrusty
Ernie - I was a very active member over at http://www.club4ag.com, which is where I sourced these pics. Another place these pics are hosted is: http://www.classic-celica.com in the 1st Gen Gallery and if you do a search for the last (a few weeks ago) Classic Japanese Car show that was in Long Beach there will be a few more pics. Hope that helps. Regards - Yasin
tfreer85
Kinda off topic, what is a good price range for those celicas? I love them, but can't ever find them on Craigslist. Any suggestions? Tyson
RacerX
Tyson, I found one for $750 - a 1973 Celica. He'll be calling me back! The ones I have seen were pretty trashed but eventually you can come across a decent find. You just need to be persistent in your search. Thanks for the link Yasin! slownrusty
Thanks for the link Yasin! Ernie/RacerX You welcome! Woohoo, i'm not the only loony that likes thost 1st gen celicas I hope to buy one someday for my own idea of "restoration" (meaning leave only whats needed, improve the rest ) I agree....me too..one day soon I scour eBay and Craigslist hoping to find one...the great thing is that their suspensions are close enough to the mighty AE86 so suspension choice upgrades are limitless. 510six
I remember seeing a lot of the twin cam 1800 Toyota motors as a common swap with sidedraft Mikuni`s back in the day.The S2OOO motor/tranny combo would be a great swap into either an old school Celica or a 510.
