zguy95135
Just a bad tire? I was driving down the freeway in my CL, and it just blew out randomly. It seems to have melted on one little spot, and then exploded. It was a brand new tire too
Jersey
Is that the inside of the wheel? Just wondering if it had anything to do with "Dropped (3.5") on Neuspeed race springs and Tokico Illuminas"? How are the clearances?
big-phil
An ex-girlfriend could cause that:?:

typhoone
the tire could have already split around that area (mine did a couple months ago) and then it just got to hot. somehow i doubt that was a fun ride for you

There's plenty of clearance, I mean, I've been driving with it lowered since September.

EMWHYR0HEN
Wow, I had the same problem with the exact same tire. Is that a ST-115? I dont know if it's just that Falken tire, or all Falken tires..... But this is really changing the way I feel about the name Falken. zguy95135
It was a Ziex 512, yea I know what you mean, Im disappointed especially since Ive had one other person tell me the exact thing happened. I have them equipped all the way around, and still mostly new so I think I'm going to get this one replaced and hope it doesnt happen again. The old ones I replaced were fine, so I'm just gonna hope for the best =/
DRTY260Z
Below where the tire has the hole the rim looks like it has a deep scratch, looks like something hit both the tire and the rim, unless i'm seeing things..
DRTY260Z
Nevermind. Looking closely it seems it's just the tape from the stick-on wheel weights, my bad.
dr_hunt
Your overpowering the tire, common place with V8 powered z's, even some turbo L6's. It's commonly referred to "blowing the tires off". Often mistaken for ex-gf activities, but your going to have to lighten up on your lead foot!!!
