Guest TeamNissan
I really prefer wendling goggles to a mask but what do you do about the burns? I think I'm going to try sunblock lol. Thoughts? preferences?
Moridin
Just wait for the burns to turn into skin cancer and you won't have worry anymore.

Welding goggles are only intended for use with oxy/actlene....not electric welding!!!

SHO-Z
Get a good welding hood. One that is confortable to wear. After all of the years of welding I just got my first auto darkening lens, seem like it will be neat afte I get use to it. Welding with cutting goggles even with a welding lense is dangerous. I had to use cutting goggle a couple of time due to no room for my hood. Even with a bandana across my face I still got some sun burn. It was not worth it. If you really like the welding goggles, get a pipeliners pancake shield. They are like a set of welding goggles with with a flat shield attached to protect the face. Most of them have a curved section to protect one ear.
alexideways
For real tight spaces, I've seen guy who made themselves masks with thick leather, kind of like an old goalie's mask and they'd integrate the welding goggles.
