cygnusx1
Got the Z out of Winter storage and I did a walkaround video and a couple of driving videos. This weekend, the Panasports are coming off and the 16x8 Sportmax wheels are going on it. Then I will strip the stock EFI out of it and install the large injectors, fuel rail, triangulated strut bar, and MS-II. I also need to grease the rear swaybar and install the rear camber bushings. Walk around (the camera makes the fan, valves, and injectors sound really loud) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8503356633210792365 Short drive. leaving my parents house: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7571635835208542681 Longer drive and some nice curves: Watch the thing hanging from the mirror for g-force indication. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6790766533792011334
DavyZ
Nice to see your car up close and personal. It's a very clean looking car and my wife likes it even more than I do (I prefer flares). I'm impressed by the overall spartan, simple, clean look of the exterior and interior. Nice HybridZ. The beginning driving had a bunch of noise which is what? Gravel? cygnusx1
Thanks, yeah the car is clean and simple looking. It should look a bit more agressive with the black sportmax 8" wheels. The noise in the car is gravel. There are so many hills so they throw tons of gravel salt and sand on the roads in winter. We need a few good rainfalls to wash it all away. I have stonegaurd on the bottom sides of the car or all the paint would get destroyed.

Jackhammer
The car looks good...sounds great. Your upcoming mods will really put the defining touch on it.
big-phil
that is a super clean car! It makes me want to get mine to the body shop for a real nice paint job. The thing hanging on the mirror was cool, thats a great idea to show the G's in the turns, and also when you take off it comes at the camera. When you were first backing out of your driveway I was thinking "whats that big pile of white stuff?"........oh, snow.
Sparks280zt
Can you elaborate on this stone guard stuff.....
v80z
Man I love that car. Best color for a car. I need a daily driver like that one. The wheels will look great. Man you live in the hills. You sure you aint haulin shine with that ride? HAHAHAH. Whoops let me cover the redneckedness. Now lets see ya get on it!!!!
cygnusx1
Haulin' shine? Heck you can walk around here while drinkin it! No need to haul it. These are the hills that put the hill in hillbilly. Believe it or not, it's only 45 minutes outside of NYC. You stand outside the bar and wait for a deer to get hit out on the road. Then you have a barbecue. Stone gaurd is a clear plastic sheet tape made out of 3M poly-sumthing. You spray water/alcohol on the paint and the back of the tape. Position it on the car and press it on. It's almost invisible and takes a beating. I got it in bulk rolls from http://www.xpel.com. Don't fall for the expensive pre-cut kits. Get the cheap bulk stuff and cut it up yourself. It takes some practice to get it on right but it's easier than doing tint because the stuff stretches. I had the car painted BMW Arctic Silver about 8 years ago. It was originally stock Z silver. The problem is that now I need a beater for the track because the body is so clean.
