MOTORHEAD427
Watching this clip took me back to 80`s...WRC Group B rally is quite possibly the most exciting of all sports. It`s dangerous both to the drivers and the spectators and it is really fast! Enjoy the clip. ERIC

wickiewicked240z
I like the BAJA 1000 held in ensenada Baja california. 1000 mile race, held in november. A couple of spectators got killed last year i think one off them got beheaded by one of the trucks. The video below is the baja 500 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQaahqf8REU&mode=related&search= baja 1000 video

MOTORHEAD427
I guess it is safe to say "he had it coming"... About Group B cars: It is really sad, 99% of those cars were not really available to the US. Peugeot 205 T16, Lancia Delta Integrale Evo, R5 air turbo, Ford RS200 and Escort RS Cosworth(for obvious reasons) and the Baby Quattro... I get to see some of these cars once a year at the French-Italian car show in Burbank,CA. These were my dream cars. Well, at least we have our Z`s and 510`s... Although we don`t have any events like the Group B here in the US ( safety issues????).. They banned a Corvette commercial saying children might want to try to drive their parents` cars, I wonder what they would do to the idea of creating an event like this-Mothers against rally cars anyone? BTW, almost every Group B car is AWD...I wonder if anybody tried to build an AWD Z? ERIC

Juarez88
i hate to say it but i kinda had a 1983 audi quattro. one of the teachers was raffling it away at my mom's school, she won the car for 10 bucks (raffle ticket price). It was in pretty decent condition, around 150,000 miles and some faded paint but overall c+ quality. it was grey and had the quattro label on the right side of the frame and the rubber spoiler in the rear. she thought it was useless because it didnt pass a smog check and did want me having it for that reason. i tried pleading with her to let it stay and once i was finished with school i'd work on it. anyway one day i came home and i found out she had given it away for free... i couldn't argue with her for the reason i was strugling in school and was working hard to finish on time and at the time i didnt realize how great the car was until after i bought my 240z. i know who has it, maybe ill try talking to him one day and buy it. i just had to let that out because well... i'll probably never see an audi quattro again... ehh why would you want a quattro when you have a old rusty datsun? MOTORHEAD427
The Short Wheel Base Sport Coupe Quattro(Baby quattro) is still considered one of the best rally cars ever built and it is an extremely rare car. What do you think are the possibilities of a Group B event in the US? Or maybe something similar?...
bschiltz
I agree that there needs to be some sort of rally/ baja race in the US. In western Nebraska (sandhills) there's tons of open terrain that would be awesome. The Bad Lands in South Dakota would be good, too.
