steveosupremeo
does anyone have any dyno numbers to show how much HP a Z31 ECU/MAF/CAS swap is capable of supporting using the L28et? i'd thought about it as an option for my turbo swap and it seems easy enough. thanks, Steve-O
nismopick
The injectors are the major limiting factor. With the upgrade & stock injectors, 260-270hp max @ stock fuel pressure. That would prolly be @ 14-16psi boost tho.
steveosupremeo
well, i was planning on using the set of SVO injectors i have and maybe a hipo T3 from speed shop thagard if it will get me to around 300...
(goldfish)
I think JeffP is still using it. How much work are you after?
steveosupremeo
roughly 300 to the wheels, or close to it, i just don't want to be at the limits of the stock system. i have an 83 harness and turbo dizzy. so it seemed like a possible option after reading afshin's sticky on it. Tony D
300 is nowhere near the limits of the stock system, especially if you use 450cc Bosch Injectors and jack up the fuel pressure (pump upgraded)... Jeff was supporting 450 flywheel HP at that point. It is making more now.
steveosupremeo
cool, thanks tony, i meant stock as in the 280zx system, thats why i was looking at the 300zx so i wouldn't have to do the megasquirt, which i may go anyway. still not sure. i'm using 370cc injectors by the way. GrayZee
There has been success in using the modifying the stock afm to run larger 370cc injectors. I don't recall who.. (ScottyMiz perhaps?) but if you ask me, the z31 system is far superior.
