MaTTSuN
i just ordered it the other day from DIY Matt Cramer has already contacted me and asked what my setup is like im running the 81 280zx turbo motor and was wondering what the crank pick-up was Optical...magnetic.. im not sure but im sure my MS will run better if i have this info ive read that the 81 CAS will work with 82-83 ECU's so i guess its the same signal.. so excited to get squirting :Matt
cygnusx1
Congrats. I am about 3 months ahead of you and I am about to finish the wiring. I should be turning the key within a few days. Next comes the debugging and tuning. Start reading the mega manual NOW. Good luck.

Brad-ManQ45
I think there has been an addition to the MS install thread about using the CAS from the '81... I myself am gonna put magnets on the back of my dampner and use a hall sensor and GXR coils....

MaTTSuN
is the signal from the 81 cas the same as the later models with the cas in the dizzy? Matt cramer from diy is asking my setup but from what i see its the same hook up either way... since they both give the same signal? is this right

MaTTSuN
ok but is the intercooler big enuf?
cygnusx1
I would say yes if it is a good build quality. 250HP no problem. If you go much more than that >300whp, or more than 15psi boost, you might think bigger. You could also make some duct work to feed air to the intercooler which would be even better and make that size good enough for even more power. I would use it. You could always upgrade to a similar one and keep the existing plumbing. See this chart for sizing and HP: http://www.racetep.com/tneticatoaic.htm
