Guest onehundredoctane
whats up guys, I'm Matt, 23, just graduated college. I have one main project, and after I buy this 280z I'll have the second one on the back burner, for now i have a project Nissan 240sx, converted to RHD, and now I call it a Silvia, (now everyone frowns). I've had the car 2 years and still working slowly on body stuff, mainly rust repair here and there, I'll be putting an SR20DET with complete Brian Crower head components, along with CP pistons, and eagle or crower rods. Here are a few pics,
jtmny1999
Hand brake looks like its too close to the steering wheel? Welcome to HybridZ!!!
CalifaThugz
Thats how my 240sx is as well, how much did the RHD conversion cost you? They want to charge me 1,200 for parts and labor and, 800 for just parts, but I did auto to manual swap. I struggled a bit without knowing what I was doing didn't look up anything but, 2 weeks later and 100-150 trips to autozone and 50-100 trips to Nissan I finally did it. =] Nice S13 front, I might be the youngest person you run into in here. I just turned 15 and have been working on cars since I was 11. =]
DavyZ
Good platform to work on. You don't even need a Z, really. Just drop an LS2 into the Silvia and be done with it. You don't need a 4 banger Davy
The Chiropractor
Someone clue me in as to why you'd want RHD in the USA??? Really, I don't know, I'm asking...

ZDrifter
Why make it right hand drive in America?? The same reason we put v8, 2jz, rb, sr, etc in our Z's. TO BE DIFFERENT!! but you will be seeing more and more of it these days because of people wanting actual "jdm" cars. I would love to have a right hand drive Z but I wouldnt convert it. Nice lookin 240!!
Guest onehundredoctane
well you beat me to it, yeah being different is part of it, that and it's easier than importing on, it'll be a head turner, despite needing countless man hours to finish it, and yes, I've already thought about doing the same thing to the Z, but where would you even begin to find a RHD dash for a car that is almost 33 years old? smoorenc
Welcome, there are some really good Z people around here. 2 members up north of Kannapolis are helping me with my car. www.4moores.com/280z and they have done some unbelievable work on Tom's Z from Wilmington. http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=769290&postcount=35 and http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=676998&postcount=1 Marks Z just won an award at the car show in Winston Salem. Roddy's car is really fast, but ugly... LOL I figured he'd see this post and I could yank his chain. The Triad Z Club is very good, the Triangle Z club (farther away) and the Charlotte club are all good resources. If you join the Triadzclub, you can get 20% off all parts at Modern Nissan. So that's a big bonus!
