DrEaM
so i'd been waiting on getting a diff mount just for the simple fact that i wasn't sure whether or not i was going to go with a solid mount or a rubber mount and i just want you guys to know that the rubber mount isn't bad at all!! i don't know why i syked myself out but holy crap my car drives better!! its amazing how much better drives and i don't have to worry about feathering the throttle to keep it from clunking POINT BEING, IF YOU HAVE A BAD DIFF MOUNT AND LOUND CLUNKING NOISES COMMING FROM THE BAD OF YOUR CAR, CHANGE IT OUT!! YOUR CAR WILL LOVE YOU BETTER
caszboy
I'm going to be installing mine on Tuesday hoping for the same results. Glad to hear that it worked out. did you have to notch the crossmember to clear the new bolts?
Mikelly
Bad mounts happen... It's a 30+ year old car... I'd assume that everything made of rubber on a 30+ year old car, including the diff mount, should be replaced. Mike
JMortensen
The stock design for the mount is crap. Instead of pushing on the rubber mount and compressing it, the stock mount pulls apart under torque. There are some easy to do much better alternatives discussed in my diff thread.
