and I just finished my ms1 v3 and they come out with this :cry2:

Bowling and Grippo are soon (early 2008) going to offer a sequential MicroSquirt, called "MS-II Sequencer". The reason for doing this is that we have the infrastructure now for MicroSquirt, all of the parts, harnesses, case, etc. And we have many users looking for sequential injection or coil-on-plug control (or both). As a result, it made sense to extend MicroSquirt to generate sequential functionality (fuel injection timed to ignition order, and cylinder-by-cylinder injection and ignition tuning).

The key in processor power is for the coil on plug drivers, guys. The batch fire really is all you need unless you are trying to comply with some stringent emissions requirements at idle, and lower speeds.

But if you have the processor speeds to handle coil on plug firing, then you have the same power to do it with the fuel as well, so why not.

But you will see minimal gains with it, really. It´s an ignition/driven change, more than Batch Fire being unsuitable for anything.

Second Tony's thoughts.

Also, with sequential injection, this means individual injector channels... which implies, at least at some point, individual cylinder trim is possible. It also implies that using those those channels for other features may eventually be possible... for example VQ35 VVT is PWM... and so is an injector channel.

...the trend in higher end systems is leaning towards channels rather than specific features.... do as you wish with them.
