randy 77zt
i ride with a gloves, padded jacket,helmet-but usually wear jeans.looking into getting 1 of those aerostich suits.they look like coveralls.reality is that your jacket usually just rolls up leaving exposed skin.the suits keep you from getting road burns. JSM
Maybe sell your bike and get health insurance? LOL! That was funny! (No offense intended) Do what Big Phil says and go to the Dr. Money will be well spent. I'm always amazed at what the human body can endure. silicone boy
Finally, something on a car forum I can absolutely answer with some expertise! No, don't use peroxide. You might as well pour hot oil on the wound. It needs to be kept moist-tegaderm is not bad, we use it for skin graft donor sites and it really makes a difference as far as pain. Some sort of antibiotic ointment or silvadine cream (the white stuff--prescription only) to prevent scabbing really speeds up the healing time. Always wear leathers! I hate doing skin grafts, and since I don't do much of that anymore, if you end up in my operating room I might get confused and your likely to end up with a set of implants. My wife had 2nd and 3rd degree burns on her face and used silvadine cream religously and now you can't see ANY scars.
big-phil
I think the cream he gave me was for burns. trust me it will save you from nasty, bumpy scars.
Careless
are those creams usually vitamin E based? Even taking Vitamin E gel caps and squeezing out the liquid will heal scars pretty damn quick, i find.
