boate
One of my exhaust hangers recently broke and the vibrations have caused my turbo elbow to crack. I have seen basically two different styles of these elbows and was wondering if anyone had input into which is a superior design (or if there is an alternative that I am missing)?. For reference, I am running the stock T25. The first style is divided (currently running): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Divided-Turbo-Elbow-SR20DET-S13-S14-Fits-USA-SWAPS_W0QQitemZ270187745062QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270187745062#ebayphotohosting The second style is a single tube, such as this Tomei example: http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogue/000_expreme/each-product/sr20_outlet-pipe_en.html Any thoughts or experience apprecitated. Thanks, Boate'
Lunar240z
Im pretty sure divided is always better less turbulance/freer flowing
SR240Z
Brian, be sure to look around on ebay, there is a bellmouth style one which has a larger openeing than the tomei one. The only problem with the divided one is that the actual turbo pipe is pretty small to get the most flow.
stony
Something you may consider would be to solid mount the motor or use urethan mounts to reduce the amount of mocment your motor has.
Guest koji187
My friend runs a Megan racing one.. I think Megan is junk but they're cheap, if your friends with anyone at a shop, their wholesale price on it is like $30 I think, it was super cheap
vale2489
I've ran both bellmouth and divided on my nissans and wrx and really didn't notice any advantage of one over the other, pick one that strikes your fancy.
