Careless
midnight performance quoted me 36 grand for a complete install of an RB26 (including the cost of the engine).....yah..... call them back and ask them for a break-down... LOL I use email, saves me the time of writing down everything. I'll be honest though, when I see 36k including engine and tranny vs. 4k if I supply said engine and tranny, I think I'd take the extra time and money to drive down to SoCal to get the cheaper install
Guest kcoke
Who will do it for 4k in Southern Cali.? I would rather take the drive too. 36k sounds ridiculous to me! Might as well just buy a skyline for 36k?!
triple B
why not just do it yourself?
twistex
I can do the swap I have done a few already, 20 and 25's. www.daftinnovations.com I believe I have some pictures on there. I'm located in Modesto, ca about 1.5 hours from sac. I have some project swap photos and a myspace link with a butt load of pictures also. PanzerAce
1.5 hours from sac? Less than an hour from me down south of you in merced How much for a swap including the engine? (25 or 26). Oh, and how long would it take to get done?
PanzerAce
why not just do it yourself? Cause since it is also my DD (well, my ONLY car) I don't have the time to do a good job myself. Also, I need it to work the right time . Plus, I don't have an engine crane or the room to do the swap (4 college students all with cars tend to take all the space that you could park a car to jack it up then work on it). twainhart
Go talk with Rob at Zcargarage in San Jose. He owns one and he is currently building at least 2 more - one of them is mine - he knows what it takes to do it right. Believe you me there is a lot of crap out there - the good stuff is hard to find.
Dayz
Maybe you can check out Johnc, he seems to be reliable and a good worker. I know that if I wasn't doing a swap myself, I would like to deal with a good guy that wants to help...even after the swap, Dayz
