  1. nice body work congrats on the feature
  2. do they have a website or anything booztd?
  3. what color is the smoke? if its blue its oil if its nice and white its coolant. you could be getting blow by. as careless said the PCV could be sucking oil. i would try a compression test of the cylinders first to elimnate the ring issue and then try a new PCV or just eliminate it if you can manage it
  4. now if only they made Z31 stuff ( i know they have mounts in development after emailing them)
  5. man i am gald i logged on today i was just contemplating what filter to use. most manufactures only use like 2 filters for their cars so they are all interchangable. toyota uses 2 and mitsubishi uses 2 different ones for all their vehicles
  6. i got my 200ZR pan from www.nismoparts.com but that was a while ago and i don't knwo if they carry them anymore
  7. well if you find any mk4 supras or a TT Z32 you could pull the pumps off those if you want a better flow rate for the RB25. you may have to just find a long throttle cable and modify it. i am making one for my RB25 which is going into my Z31. radiator wise i guess fined a turbo S130 and see if that will work. i know about havin a shoestring budget but soemtiems you just have to spend the bank to get stuff that will work right with no doubts
  8. yeah i bought my RB 25 from Osaka and never again will do business with them. they lied about the shipping price and the intake manifold had a chunk missing out of it. its a good thing i was planning on tearing it down and doing a complete rebuild
  9. glad you found it as soon as i read your post i was like, sounds like a boost leak
  10. nice LOL i have my Sentra Spec v at least this summer while the beast gets built
  11. My car club Empire is having its first meet of 2008 this saturday around 9pm if there are any RB Z's that are near or feel like driving to midland PM me and i can give directions our first meet should be big as we are the best club in the tri city area we meet in the old farmer jack parkin lott on the corner of washington and patrick roads in midland here is a link to a yahoo map there is a quiznos in the plaza so thats the easiest way to find it http://maps.yahoo.com/map?q1=1301%20Washington%20St%20Midland%20MI%2048640&mag=5&ard=1#mvt=m&lat=43.612463&lon=-84.217521&mag=5&zoom=14&q1=1301%20Washington%20St%20Midland%20MI%2048640&gid1=32748143 so if anybody is intrested lemme know you can come out early and see my Z in progress
  12. yeah plus you might as well upgrade everything else while you got that bad boy apart
  13. wow still has the top mount even
  14. well technically it is the fault of the AEM since it can't compensate like the stock ECU does for belt stretch. the modified CAS has way less holes in it from the pictures i have seen of it. if i remember correctly there are 6 holes
  15. the HKS is a standalone ( at least i am pretty sure it is). it does have baseline maps and such but i don't know if it is a strait plug and play i was looking at it till i saw how much it was
  16. i am going to be running the e manage ultimate. i am in process with getting the wiring all done and building the engine so it may be a while before i can give feedback anybody else tried one of these?
  17. i am running a greddy emanage ultimate or i will be once i get the car put together. we will see how that works. i just did not have the money to invest in a full out standalone like the motec or the AEM
  18. cool i am glad somebody started a time board now i just have to get the car done, then tuned ugh
  19. i would be intrested to i have my motor down to a bare block and once its cleaned and machined in the next month i may need fasteners a nice package would be nice
  20. i would just stick with the l28 project RB swaps are cool and all but why start another project whne you have a good one going plus the swap into the XB would be the mother of all fab projects and quickly be a money pit
  21. well careless makes an excellent poin tplus there is the fact it is a twin turbo engine. granted upgrades for the RB26 can be a bit pricy when you start doing turbo upgrades. with my RB25 i have invested in forged internals at about $1200 as well as a new intake manifold (greddy/ trust) for $700 a big turbo at $1300. and the list goes one granted to make big number you have to build for it and with the RB26 you do nto have to build as much compared to the RB25
  22. it takes more to get the RB25 over 500 the RB26 gets there quickers out of the box.
  23. yeah that sounds right depends on what size injector you are running. soem bigger ones require higher pressure but usually not an issue because of the boost levels involved
  24. or both just motor mounts would be nice i think more people woudl do the swap if you did not have to modify the cross member. i know alot of honda engine swaps got popular after the mount kit was available
  25. ugh if only i had the money i kinda would like an rb26 powered S30 to add to the stable while my Z31 is bein built
