Globerunner513
I always liked the look of splitters and lip kits, and wanted my airdam just a little bit lower. I got a front lip from a '94 RX-7 from a friend and decided to modify it to work for me. It was in pretty bad shape, so I sanded it down with 120# working up to 800#. Then I sprayed a layer of black primer, and sanded again. And finished it off by rubbing "Back to Black" into the surface Finished. After my crash...fixed and painted airdam. MJLamberson
very nice work, it makes a big difference for the better
Challenger
Looks good. Your airdam sure is close to the curb. I saw the title and was hoping for a huge splitter that stuck out horizontally. I drew a template up for one, needs to be cut out of wood to test fit and then some metal.
Globerunner513
Yeah, thats what I wanted to do, but when I got the lip, i figured why not?
OlderThanMe
Dang! That looks like the place to live and drive! Washington? Haven't seen any scenery like that since going to Lake Tahoe!
Adam393
Very nice! Just that subtle little strip makes the airdam look just right
supertip
Yeah Washington. Anybody know where these lips can be purchased?
Globerunner513
try www.rx7club.com. I've heard they go new for about $200.
Challenger
That little piece is $200?
Globerunner513
guess so...new atleast. I wouldn't know my buddy gave it to me for free. But stuff for those 3rd gen RX-7's seem to be oddly expensive.
supertip
i must be retarded, but i can not find this part. What should i search for, just "lip kit"?
Careless
it looks good, but personally i wouldn't be able to live with the shortness of the lip, being that it doesnt wrap to the extreme ends of the bumper. it does look like a nice addition though, and I'd definately add a lip there. are there any others that may look like they fit? perhaps an integra or accord lip? There are some clean ones.
DavyZ
are there any others that may look like they fit? perhaps an integra or accord lip? There are some clean ones. A number of years ago, "datto" who is a member here installed one from a Supra that fit perfectly. What year of Supra? I have no idea, but it fit perfectly and looked great to boot---it's worth investigating that little tidbit if you really want something like this. LOL No, he doesn't. He was on about five or six years ago. The piece looked trick. I keep seeing ones advertised for Hondas on ebay, which makes me want to buy one & try it out just for the price. m1ghtymaxXx
Looks good but it needs to be extended all the way back. Love the way that air dam looks with the painted black "bumper" too.
Globerunner513
Actually thats the top of Mt. Baker. And yes, washington. I absolutely love it here. I live 10 mins away from being in the ocean, and about an hour away from snowboarding! And everything in between, amazing driving roads included as for the Black on the airdam, I really do like it aswell, and i'm pleased it turned out alright. Although it wasn't completely my idea. The ditch had the idea first...
