auxilary
granted, it's only 2.5" but it's still a good deal since it's only $99 now http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PEC20/15-6037
Guest burnsclean1
wow! thanks for the heads up
savageskaterkid
that is an awesome price, I paid 100 for my stainless 3" Scottie piece, granted, that was old, and well used. 100 for a BRAND NEW MSA 2.5" DP is perfect. On a stock T3 would 2.5" to a 3" dp make a big diffrence?
hughdogz
Too bad it won't work for us S130 Turbo guys. They used to sell one that will fit an S130 with a Nissan 5-speed, but will not fit with a Borg-Warner T5. I can't believe these used to sell for $300! Warren
"Aluminized Steel" = PASS
Challenger
Do they sell this for non turbo applications... Yeah Im not thrilled about the aluminized steel.
cygnusx1
Aluminized steel is a nice cost effective alternative to SS. Many of us are on a budget and aluminized fits the bill. My full exhaust is aluminized steel and it looks as good as new five years later without breaking the bank. Just an FYI.
Challenger
Yeah, its really cost effective. Id still buy it, come on $99! Isnt 2.5 inch big enough for a mild turbo motor?
woldson
Aluminized steal is my exught from my old zx into my new, 10 years still in great shape with no visable rust! Problay 60k of miles.
Warren
Guys, don't get me wrong, I'm not KNOCKING the aluminized exhaust system... They'll do just fine for a LONG time. It's just that I just had made and sold a bunch of stock turbo outlet flanges made from stainless... Kinda ironic that this post would come up. hughdogz
Although it may not be the preferred method, but I heard you can weld Aluminized steel to stainless steel without too much hassle.
woldson
My sebring muffler is ss and is welded to my aluminized pipe. No problem for many years, just watch for splatter onto the ss.
phil280zxt
Dave, you're on a budget?....LOL
cygnusx1
Dave, you're on a budget?....LOL LOL Well, yes, sort of. If you add up all the money I've spent on the Z, and divide it by the number of years I've spread it over...it works out to around $1000 or less per year. I would consider that pretty mild all things considered. At least that's how I justify it in my own mind. My own labor is priceless in this equation of madness.
