luvmy280zxt
Does anyone have pictures of how they routed their intercooler pipes. Im picking one up tomorrow and would like to install it with out cutting any metal from the frame of the car. The IC has both ports on one side so any pics and info would be great. I tried searching but only found one clear pic but, it had a port on either side. Domo arigato mr robato!! 81 zxt

nando280zxt
God Yasin's car is BA!....but i think you should look at phil280zxt's intercooler example since his is a bit more stock =) lol. But i guess it probably won't be of as much use since you said your inlet/outlet are on the same side.
hughdogz
I think you may be hard pressed to run a "same-side" IC without cutting into the core support. Unless you route at least one of the pipes below the rail, I don't think there is a way to use OEM holes unless you don't want the intake to be in front of the core support. I also have a IC that uses opposite side. Here is what I did to minimize the cutting into the core support, using the OEM stock airbox holes and 2.25" tubing, and still have a CAI: Here is where I cut into the headlight bracket and outer core support: I hope Mayolives and 240Hoke don't mind me linking their photos... Over the support (doubtful this is possible unless you cut the hood (like Phil280ZXT (?)) Below...like Austin did (I think 280ZForce routed it this way too): Later, -hughdogz

luvmy280zxt
Ok! Thankyou for the pics. They will be of help to me. One more question though, where would the air filter go? I noticed its not visible in any of those pictures. Thankyou

BleachZee
The air filter goes to the side of the intercooler. The red car shows it next to the hood hinge. The goal is to get it forward of the radiator support so it pulls in air outside of the engine compartment. Under the headlight bucket is also acceptable. Ferrariferg
Awesome. I was looking for this thread last night. Trying to figure out how to do as little cutting as possible.
hughdogz
I think 280ZForce has same side, but routed the intake pipe under the radiator support to get cool air. Like Bleach mentioned, it can be as much as ~40F degrees cooler air in front of the radiator then in the engine compartment...
