Well a friend of mine was on Craigslist and found a front spoiler for a 280zx made by Vesta Technik and it was a spoiler i had never seen b4. So of course I picked it up for $100. Im trying to find out if anyone has ever heard of this company before? On the tag of the spoiler it says, Frontspoiler: Datsun 280 ZX Vesta Technik Schwien & Korning 26007 KBA 35299 Ill get a pick on here in a bit, just need to down load it to my pc.

Ok, I've been trying to find some pics of the knock sensor and how the two wires are connected to it. I cant remember if the black wire goes to the left side and the red to the right side or vice versa. If someone happens to look at theirs tonight or tommorrow would you plz be kind enough to let me know! Kinda feel stupid now for asking but I dont want to connect them backwards.

So the turbo sender and the n/a sender are different? I went to the junk yard in Arlington and robbed 3 of then from n/a cars. Havent install any of them yet.

Well in the process of messing with the sandwich plate on my 81 zxt i managed to break my oil pressure sending unit. I was wondering if there is an after market unit out there or is there a different way of setting up an oil pressure gauge to the engine itself? Plz go easy on me with this question. LOL Thanx

Ok, so I went to NAPA and they said that they can replace both hoses for me but they might have to change the fittings on the bulk head that connect directly to the oil cooler itself. Should cost about 50 bucks they said. On a side note.....I really couldnt find exactly where the leak was comming from since they were so small. Even with the car being reved up, sooooooo I took some white plumbers tape and wrapped it around the oil cooler lines, well after I cleaned them with a dry cleaning solvent first. After I started up the car it only took a few seconds to see on the plumbers tape exactly where the 4 pin hole leaks were. I know.....sounds like a waste of tape but...I did find the leaks!!!!!! Great sucess!!

Hello everyone!! Well my oil cooler lines sprung a leak on me, two pin sized holes and have been leaking quiet slowly on me up until today. They finally decided to split and leave a nice puddle of oil on my garage floor. I read on this site that if I no longer have the auto turbo on my 81 zxt then the oil cooler is not required. So I removed the cooler, the in and out lines and the oil filter adapter only to discover that once the adapter is removed from the block I can't install an oil filter without it. I've seen n/a blocks and how the oil filter just screw's on flush to the block and that's what I would like for my filter to do also. Is there a special adapter on a n/a block that i need to accomplish this? Or is there another way? Oh just in case, I did search for oil cooler removal, oil cooler system removal, oil cooler filter adapter mod....... I mostly found threads on oil cooler instlation.

The ECU, complete eng harnass, engine, 5 speed, AFM, radiator. Maybe rear diff. Good luck!

Well....I measured a 240sx dash i have and it is 54in. About 4in too long. LOL So its definatly going to need some trimming. When I centered it though it looked like it look fairly nice in my 81 zxt. So I think Im going to go ahead and give it a try begining in April. I wont make any promises and say Ill start a thread but If I get a good camera I will......wish me luck!

Hey everyone!! Well I recently happen to have a 240sx dash and center consol and all the parts and pieces fall into my lap for free from a good buddy of mine. So I decided to check the site here and see if anyone has tried this. It seems like it has been done on a few 1st gen Z cars and I think it looks pretty cool. I havent found any info though on if it has been done on a zx. So if any one knows or has seen it done or even have a few pics of it on a zx, kindly let me know. It would be much appreciated. I did find in my searches the Valdini web site but only saw the 1st gen car with the conversion done. Thanx for any help in advance.

I agree with Yasin on his build. It looks very professional. Minw was a quick fix and it actually came out pretty good. I tried to post a pic of it mounted but getting pics to post on here have been a no go for me for some reason. Yasin, you ever think of making a few more of those for a profit??? I went to autozone and bought the 3 pod pillar set. I used a very good hair dryer to soften up the plastic and molded to the plastic pillar cover. Then use a set of shears to trim off the excess. It took about 3 hrs to get it done right, Then I realized I only needed one pod...duh. But it worked.

I really luv the streached look on those rims. I just cant get a shop here to do it for me. They say its illegal for them to do it??? Funny though, I had streached tires on my toyota chaser....in japan. Did u put them on yourself?

Is the motor completely rebuilt? If it is and was done properly then I dont see why it wouldnt cost that much. If it is not and has just been canabalized<---spellcheck...lol then I would not do it. I just sold a zxt engine to a member here with everything he needs to to the swap for $500 dollars. Well I did forget to give him the oil pump. My bad. Frick frac, if you still need the pump let me know. LOL Plus I threw in some extra parts.
