Comrade_Charlie
Does any one have pictures of the 69-76 or 77 style hood with the later style zx turbo scoops? I have 2 turbo scoops(left and right) and was wondering if its worth while to take the time to draw everything out and cut, to put them on my hood. I might just try to find a 78 hood. Comrade_Charlie
Cool, looks like it fits pretty good. I think I might try to make a template or something out of cardboard paper. my hood is all dented up any way so it doesn't matter if I mess up. nice car! skib
Ill be dong that for my turbo swap, I plan on cutting out a few in. of metal around it and then welding it into my hood so I get the nice rolled edge the original mounting has. Drax240z
yeah I just cut and plopped mine is, but I'd like to recess it flush with the hood, which will take a bit of mucking around.
naviathan
Funny, I was considering welding mine up because I prefer the flat solid look on a hood.

Drax240z
I was more concerned with cooling between the turbo and brake lines, master cylinder, etc.
skib
I was more concerned with cooling between the turbo and brake lines, master cylinder, etc. same reason Im doing mine, cooler I can get under hood temps the better
Comrade_Charlie
Joking about the hp thing , but I guess it could to a certain extent but im not worried about that, never thought about the brakes and stuff, I guess hot air would get trapped up in there. I just liked how they looked, and I think the stock hood needs something on it. It is so long. all this time I was searching for a picture of one with both scoops and I had one on my computer. I don't know whos car this is but found it on google a while back so, I think people with Zs don't care if you post their cars as long as you dont try to make money off of it or something.... anyway cool looking car so I saved it. Sonethirty
^ That Z would be ultra awesome if they went with the traditional urethane front instead of that type three or whatever it is. Looks too modern on the car. Just sticks out. Imho.
