naviathan
After patiently waiting for what seemed like 6 months (really I think it was only 2 months) I have received my lash pads for L28. So in the near future I'll have a F54/E88, MSA Stage IV Cam, 2mm MLS Head Gasket with MS-II running Z....Hopefully....

naviathan
Flat tops or dished? Flat tops. It's all N/A.
naviathan
The .220 are what held everything up, but I had to order both .220 and .260 to cover both intake and exhaust. Oh and it's the large valve E88 using the same stainless steel swirl polished valves I had in my old N42 head that I botched up.
naviathan
!@#$%^&&!!! I'm very irritated right now. I measured my lash pads the other day just to be sure and the ones marked .220 were .260 and the ones marked .260 were .260. So I have all .260 pads...Thats not going to help. z-ya
Two months to get lash pads? Did you try Courtesy Nissan? They should have most all sizes in stock.

Yeah, that's who went through. I called them today and they're ordering more, but it'll be at least another two weeks.

jeffer949
Its easy to do but are they case hardened?? I havent messed with the lash pads on the l series yet but I know that in a pinch i have taken a piece of glass and some 1000 grit sand paper and sanded down shims for a motorcyle before with good results. You have to have micrometers to do this obvously and you have to keep checking for squareness and to make sure your not wearing one side down more than the other. figure 8's is what ive found to work the best. Also make sure you do it wet.
2eighTZ4me
If you have a machine shop at your disposal... Otherwise, you'll pay more (probably) to have them cut down than it would cost to just buy new at $3.70 a pop. But then again - there's that 'wait' factor...... naviathan
Yeah, I know, but at the same time I paid for them to be the right size.
