darthevix
I've been looking around, but I can't seem to find any pictures of a pair of smoked headlight covers on a Z. Maybe im looking in the wrong places, im not sure. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Oddmanout84
Nice... what I want to know is, how much does it dim/diffuse your lights?
Beau M
I would like to know if they look decent on a car that is not a dark color.
Kevin.pk
Nice... what I want to know is, how much does it dim/diffuse your lights? From what I have read, don't plan on much night driving with them installed. They make the headlights very dim and you should plan a headlight upgrade of some kind if you plan on installing them. The stock headlights are already relatively dim, and putting "sunglasses" on them are not gonna help the situation.
Oddmanout84
Yeah, I figured as much. I can't say that I would limit myself to daytime driving if I installed them though. I would definitely compensate with stronger MSR or projector lights with a very shiny bulbs.
veritech-z
My lights are super dim. I converted them from the sealed beam to the 9004 halogens, and it really didn't do much. I'm not sure the problem isn't specific to my car (or rather, any car with aged wiring like mine), so I won't say they're across the board going to dim your lights. Mine are pretty much only good for being seen by other drivers, as opposed to actively lighting the way for me. As a result, if I do any driving at night I make sure it's only on roads with decent street lights.
Oddmanout84
Did you put in a headlight relay harness as well? That might help your brightness by feeding power directly from the battery to the lights, as opposed to through the steering column stalk. veritech-z
To be honest, I really don't recall if I did that or not. I did the conversion 3 or 4 years ago. I need to just get a painless harness or something one of these days and redo the whole thing.
Challenger
http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=135407&highlight=tinted+headlight+covers Just searched for "tinted headlight covers". The pics I took make them alot darker then they really are. There is a picture of them in the daylight on my car but Im not sure where in my album they are. Forrest
I've run clear covers on that car, and I don't notice much difference, if any.
calpoly-z
I didn't notice too big of a difference when I put them them as far as light output is concerned. Granted I only had about 3 days of driving with them before my car got hit. Luckily I took pics.
darthevix
I really like how those look. Are those the MSA ones?
