bianski
hello everyone, I couldnt find anything on the searches does anyone know of any conversion from maf to map for the L28et??
nismopick
#1: The L28ET uses an AFM not MAF. #2: You can convert to a MAF if you do a Z31T ecu upgrade. #3: You can install a Vein Pressure Converter to delete the MAF. Is all that worth it? Not really.... tho the Z31T ecu upgrade itself is.

Mack
yup. megasquirt. then, if you are so inclined, you can also convert to a coil on plug design and get rid of your distributor!
iheartz
#3: You can install a Vein Pressure Converter to delete the MAF. what does this mean, and what effect would it have?
nismopick
what does this mean, and what effect would it have? http://www.machv.com/hksveinpresc1.html The HKS Vein Pressure Converter changes the way the engine measures air flow. It eliminates the restrictive factory MAS (Mass Air Sensor) in favor of a much-less-restrictive absolute pressure sensor. The VPC can easily add 30 hp. +30hp is all hype (IMO). theghosttanker
Sounds to me like a vein sensor is the same thing as the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor in a megasquirt setup. WizardBlack
Sounds to me like a vein sensor is the same thing as the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor in a megasquirt setup. Pretty much. It's not just the sensor itself that is a limitation of the stock electronics. Never really liked the VPC.... Megasquirt.
