dsalni Posted April 19, 2009 Share Posted April 19, 2009 hello hybridZ, long time reader first time poster in the tech section. i'm currently in the process of lowering my 280z using ground control coilovers w eibach springs and tokico illumina struts. for now, i'll be using the stock spring isolators. now i know that on a 280z the rear isolators are taller than the ones on 240z's, and front ones are the same. my question is, could i use an extra set of front isolators that i have, on the rear of my 280z in order to get some extra drop? i know there's a bearing in the front ones, so that would have to come out, but in theory, would that work? if anyone knows, please chime in. i searched for a bit, and didnt come up with anything that would answer my question. thanks in advance! Kevin.pk Posted April 20, 2009 Share Posted April 20, 2009 I am using front isolators in the rear. They fit with no problem at all and gave me the stance that I wanted with Tokico springs.
