MAG58 Posted September 16, 2009 Share Posted September 16, 2009 After flying a smaller DF version, these airframes are very snap happy at a fairly high stall speed (though it did float nicely in ground effect). MAG58 Posted September 16, 2009 Share Posted September 16, 2009 In the US if you're operating by AMA regulations, and flying with a fully laden (wet) weight of under 55lbs, you're covered by your AMA membership. This however requires you to get your jet license which includes the requirement of flying pylon and other 150 (i think) + mph capable airplanes while under the supervision of jet instructors. Man, knowing the cost of just one of those model jet engines... I can't imagine building a RC jet. Just think about a fully tricked out track Z kids, $$$$$. In Orlando, I've seen some of the best pilots. These guys are amazing. I happened to be filming this cool Mustang that was somewhat poorly built. Joe, the pilot is not the owner or builder. He is just one of our best pilots, and gets to maiden some of the other guys planes, like this Mustang with bad gear! Nice save Joe!!
