CJBrian's V8 71 240Z

Heres some pictures. Its nothing new just another SBC 350 V8 swap into a 71 240Z. But its mine and it will be FUN!

My plans are V8 swap with T-56 trans, R200 3.54 with LSD and 300ZXT CV's. New toyota 4x4 front brakes and disc brake swap in the rear. Coilover suspension. Complete teardown with new paint, insulation, bushings, weatherstripping, and etc,

My SBC v8 is built and 90% done.

 

Specs are-

Free 1970 010 4-bolt main block bored .060 over

Vortec heads with comp roller tips rockers 1.5

Comp cams 270H

MSD HEI dist with rev limiter

Edelbrock Performer RPM Air gap intake

 

Still need carb, air cleaner, flywheel and few other little things.

Once I removed the rusty pass. side front fender and saw surface rust I decided to pull the rest to the body work off to see what I could find.

I picked up a good used fender from Johnc at Beta and had it mediablasted and epoxy primered. It looks good. Damn might as well do the WHOLE CAR!

It's looking good! What is your planned time-line for getting it on the road?

 

BTW, I love your engine, it has an awesome look. Do you know what color you are going with for the car yet?

Thanks Guys,

 

No timeline, When its done its done. And I'm leaning towards a dark gray/silver color. Dont want a look at me cop pull me over color.
