mr_denner
Hi Guys Iam in process of installing greddy style intake ( I gust bought it from ebay, below some pictures ) to my 240z rb25det and Iam going to keep the rb25 throttle body But Iam not sure about : do I need to tune the car after? Is there any common problems? I run the stock ecu with no chip, stock turbo ...... Thanks
RKLamb123
I dont believe so but dont quote me on that one. I know on a Honda we changed to different intake and the engine light kept coming on but the car ran fine other than that. If you like I do have a a link that shows step by step how to swap the intakes as well as other parts. Picture by picture.

daschundtwosixdee
i installed the FREDDY/isis intake on the last RB25DET i installed and i had to use the Q45 throttle body and a custom cable and i did not have to tune a single thing. hope that helps a little
daschundtwosixdee
also the only thing about this intake is they are kinda prone to cracking and the finish is not as good as the greddy also if you need some parts for it ie fuel rail and others let me know i have them laying around

(I cant stand my ugly FMIC+piping) Also the throttle body + turbo outlet silicon size? Here some pictures of my swap
daschundtwosixdee
im thinking the best bet is the Q45 TB and i dont think it requires a tune
PA240
to run its best you should tune
DeLorean
How much did you pay for the intake manifold, if you don't mind me asking... I am looking for one of these, found one, but I'm not sure if the price is good or not... Thanks
mr_denner
I did not bought one yet but Iam thinking of ebay, I found the price around 200$+shipping I think the it is a bargain and they look great or looking if any one have original second hand greddy let me know if you can find cheaper intakes
PA240
The ebay intake is nice, but like people have said quality can be an issue. Like all ebay (china) parts there is no quality control. My freddy intake does not have any casting problems. I just had to open a few holes to get everything to bolt up. Why do you want to go with this intake? are you planing on upgrading the turbo? mr_denner
not really upgrading any thing Iam looking to improve under the bonnet look Now , you can see my ugly cooler and intake, I think they look horrible
mr_denner
Hi every one I had the intake plenum (greddy style) received yesterday im surprised with its finishing, Its nearly perfect now im thinking to get more HP from this engine may be around 500HP (keeping the stock internals) But the first thing should be sorted is the apexi power FC I took some pics Edited February 28, 2010 by mr_denner
RB26powered74zcar
Looks to be a quality part. I've seen some of those crappy ebay manifolds, and that one you got look like excellent quality casting.
