zeeboost
I think this may have been mentioned earlier in the thread, and I don't know if it's a work in progress, or something I need to adjust with my settings, but my subscribed threads (which are now watched threads) only sort by relevance of when I last posted in them, not when the last thread update was. Is there any way to change this back to how it was with the old forum? Other than that, I think this will be a great substitute for the old one. zeeboost
*edit* Looks like I get to find a new avatar
ckolander
Ok, so far I like the new setup, I use chrome and it loaded in hyperspeed. It'll take me a couple of weeks to figure out how to navigate and mess around, but great work
p-factor
Can't find anywhere to click to jump to the first unread post in a thread, or the "jump to" the last post on the Forum page.

p-factor
And apparently either somehow I screwed up (the horror!) or the Edit function doesn't work properly since it posted a new post instead of changing the previous post. And there's no way to delete a post to fix my screw up?
zeeboost
Yeah, p-factor, I think we may have been doing it wrong. If you notice post #40 in this thread, 280zcar successfully edited his, but when I tried to edit my first post, it just added another one. Maybe PM him for advice, haha. letitsnow
At first I didn't like the new layout, but it's growing on me now. I also like the quick reply WAAAAAYYYYYY better than the old one, I might actually use it now. Edit: I'm not sure what the problem with editing is, just click the edit button. Z-Dreamer
Just installed the latest version of Chrome and WOW it loads much faster than Fire Fox!
p-factor
Edit: I'm not sure what the problem with editing is, just click the edit button. Might be a timing thing. I tried editing a few minutes after the first post, but no one had posted behind me so I dunno.. No big deal, I *never* make mistakes so I'm not worried about editing! Still annoyed with the "watched" threads being all wonky though.
rigez
Is it me or do some of the posts have broken links and or lost pictures? Also having problems loading a video to the "Videos" section. I keep getting denied. Is there a FAQ. I tried to use the help link but, that didn't work along with search.
holden_fan2005
I quite like the new layout. Looks nice a modern and seems simple to use at this stage
Administrators SuperDan Posted February 22, 2010 Administrators Share Posted February 22, 2010 Still annoyed with the "watched" threads being all wonky though. Yup, it seems that all posts you have ever made became watched threads. You will need to go to your control panel and remove them all by hand. Is it me or do some of the posts have broken links and or lost pictures? Yes some of them are broken and attachments in threads are not showing thumbnails for some reason, when you click on them they work fine. I'm still working on these problems. Also having problems loading a video to the "Videos" section. I keep getting denied. Is there a FAQ. I tried to use the help link but, that didn't work along with search. You are trying to link a youtube, yahoo or other type of video right? The video section does not allow "uploaded videos"

You will need to go to your control panel and remove them all by hand. I'm ok with them all being "watched" but there's no differentiation between watched topics with new posts and those without. And they're all mixed up by date, newer posts wedged in between really old ones: There is a workaround, if I click on "My Settings" then click "Forums" then click on "Managed Watched Topics" I can tell by the color of the icon whether there's a new post or not, but they're still sorted unusually, I haven't figured out exactly what yet, maybe the date the topic was first started? I'm not sure. Edited February 22, 2010 by p-factor

junglist
The "IP.Board" theme is so much nicer than the new default one with the red. It would be nice if it had the HybridZ logo instead of the IPBboard logo though. Or maybe just change the default theme to the blue?
JMortensen
I've just gotta say that I searched for an old thread about dual masters and it came up. I tried that with the old version and with Google and got nothing. I'm impressed with the search function so far!

mikedc528
Yep, I had some trouble with the search function yesterday. I seem to have the hang of it now, you can now search for much narrower thread topics (meaning I do not need to very general and weed through as many threads). Thanks! mikedc528
Hey Dan, While I am at it, is there any way to have a feature where clicking on links just opens a new tab or new page. It seems with the new layout everytime I click a link I am taken away from the forum. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!
