yetterben
No go. Both reasons stated above are why. Red tape and liability. Its gone boys
260DET
Sounds like the bank deemed it to be of no value in going towards reducing the owners debt. Too late now but it may have been worth while putting it to the bank that if they did not attempt to sell the car then you would report them to the relevant Government authority. The usual duty on a bank in that apparent situation is to make a reasonable effort to sell the car at value. But I would guess that they did try to sell it at one time and got no offers. PanzerAce
If you know where it's going, any chance you could call the crusher directly? Once it's there it seems to me like it isn't the banks business what happens to it anymore, and I'm sure they'd love to sell a car for a profit instead of crushing it. Or any chance the bank will let you strip it of useful parts first? Sucks to crush a Z, but if it's only the shell that'll lessen the blow.... yetterben
I was told it was going to a metal recycler not a traditional bone yard. I dunno the car is not there as of this afternoon at 6:15 cst
ModernS30
Hopefully somebody at the recycle place will wise up.
doublez
It's probably going to a shredder if its going to a metal recycling place. IL you say? My guess would be Chicago then, they have a few, but I'm not sure what 7hrs from you is. If you really wanted you could call a couple of the shredders around there. woldson
I believe once the car is in the possession of the recycler, they own it. Call the recycling place and work a deal on some parts and let the guy picking up the car allow you to get the parts.
