Timing Chain and headgasket

I need to replace my timing chain and engine head gasket. Nissan OEM parts seems very costly. Any recommended or popular brand I can use instead of Nissan?

Felpro makes some good stuff....not sure about timing chains though. Just google L28 or L28et gasket depending on what you got, there is a difference.

Black Dragon auto had a good price on a full timing set, it includes the chain, tensioner, pulley, and guide for I wanna say around $100

Thanks. Bought a Tsubaki kit from Hybridz member. I think it is the same kit sold by Motorsports Auto.

 

Would still like to hear recommendation on head gasket. My think my setup should support about 300 HP at up to 12 psi boost.

You can still get Ishino head gaskets for like $20-25, which are the same as OEM Nissan...Ishino makes them for Nissan.

Would this be good enough for 350 HP @ 12 psi boost?

Headgasket survival is mostly up to the operator.

You could give the strongest headgasket in the world to Big Phil and I'm sure he would still find a way to blow it at 12 psi

 

But I am running a Felpro on 15psi and have had no problems with it. It's all in your tune. And a nice set of ARP head studs never hurt.

I guess I will settle for a good Felpro hasket. And I will have to pass on the ARP at this time - last time I looked at my unemployment check it just had food and rent marked on it!
