75280z
SO I was at the Pick-N-Pull here in Aurora Colorado and I saw this very solid what I believe is a Mazda RX-2 The underbody looks good, the engine is there although a little disheveled the body has some dents, The interior is rough but all there and those ugly seat covers seemed to be covering some seats that seemed to be in decent shape; all in all it is a very unmolested RX-2 and just wanted to post about it in case any one knows any Mazda guys that are looking for a good solid starter car. I have no affiliation or stand to gain any profit just love to see a classic get restored I don't know how much the JY wants for this car I didn't ask. I can get you the JY information if you want it or know someone that does

19762802+2
I have been to that Pick and Pull before, and knowing them it will be crushed by the end of the week. They never keep the older imports for long. I used to have to wait months to see One Z there.
Tony D
yetterben just blew his whole S30 sales wad on quads and now will be totally kicking himself in the butt when he sees this! Matter of fact, to rub salt in the wound for his impetuousness, I'm going to e-mail it to him now! I would say that yep, that's a fine example of an old RX2 Capella... I wouldn't mind adding that to the hoarding in the back yard. I could occupy the space next to the Opel GT Edited August 19, 2010 by Tony D
beebeecivic
Looks good! you should ask them!
Tony D
If they know they won't sell parts off of it, chances are good the whole car will immediately be pulled and set aside at an offer of $500 to $700. Sometimes once it hits the yard they are resistant to sell the complete vehicle, but it usually only entails re-issue of a salvage title and they have to sit on it for a while. Of course the car will have a salvage title then, but who cares? You already have proof of where it was and what it looked like! In CA they make a big stink once it's in the yard due to DMV recordkeeping and reporting / tracking requirements. But I've gotten them pulled with enough cajoling of the manager on site, or with insistent calls to the yard OWNER! I lay it out for them: You get $X for scrap. I'll pay $X+200 and processing/transfer/title fees set it up, I'll give you a cash deposit now, how much do you want to hold it? Cash talks to these people. Scrapyard owners aren't millionaires for NOT moving metal, they are millionaires BECAUSE they move metal!
yetterben
No interest in a 4 door :)prefer a rx-3 as well a rx3-sp at that. Tony D
You mean a bridgeported 13B(T) is simply not compatible with that car? You HAVE to put that old 12A in there?
yetterben
13b is easy grab the front cover from a Gsl-Se 1st gen 7. Or i could do a turbo blowthrough on the 12a you have seen the vids man its been done before Oh snap look at this big piece of CHIT blower attached to it. Stupid ass furnace. 12a's are out my man. My Friends in Oz are milling 13b housings down to 12a specs. I bought the last set of 12a housings from mazda usa about 2 years ago for the tune of 500 a pop. Finding r5 nitrated 4 port irons for the 13b is the *****. I dont want the 6 port bullshit from the 2nd gen and up. Thats not the right 12a for that car either its been changed. It should be the twin dizzy model with really bad nsu seal design same as the 10a in the 110 luce and cosmo sport. Thats also a hitcahi pos carb not the good niki. Oh yeah Tony i am enjoying my 75hp Banshee just fine pulls the front up in 4 gears I forgot how good i was at porting two strokes kinda just like a rotary oh wait its the same principle. Nizm0Zed
that car in that condition would got for an easy $5k here in oz, maybe more. It'd also sell within a fortnight of advertising.
