Steveoen
are you willing to let go of those l28 headers?
emeraldlion
Is that 700r4 or 2004r?
turbojohnny
I am willing to sell the header off my l28, it's only a few months old and has barely any miles on it. it's an MSA header with the aerospace coating. I paid a little over $400 I'll let it go for $325 shipped. and the trans is a 700r4, for now until I can get my hands on a good t56.

turbojohnny
I snagged some leather 300zx seats out of the yard at LKQ today, leather is pretty dry, but hopefully some conditioner will soften them up. for $18 a piece though I can't go wrong. one more thing I thought was fitting... 82 turbo z
wow thats awesome. im actually about to start rebuilding a 350 for a swap in my 82. Did that motor just fit right in with the new motor mounts? or did you have to cut away some of the engine bay?
turbojohnny
the motor pretty much drops right in with the jtr mounting kit, the only thing I had to cut out were the old trasnmission x-member mounts.

LLave
My motor is very similar. It makes 300RWHP and is a blast to drive.

DavyZ
You've made excellent progress and you are taking the time to do it right. It's good to see careful work that's well thought out. Keep it up. I didn't read the specs on your motor. If this Vortec was from a truck, it will most likely top out at fairly low rpm. You probably already know that and will make some changes in the future I'm sure, but for now you'll actually have a fast car that runs well. Nice. turbojohnny
yeah this motor is from a '97 3/4 ton pickup. completely stock other than the carb conversion. my thought process is I'll get the car running and everything sorted out, then I can go back and modify the motor as I please. turbojohnny
this shifter is too tall, but it'll be coming out when I install a 6 spd anyway...
RB26powered74zcar
Looking good on the engine bay spray. Don't forget to spray the engine side of the pan bolted under the radiator/sway bar... Edited October 31, 2010 by J.
