Don't know if you guys have seen anything on this, but apparently this woman's article was lifted straight from her blog, published in a magazine, and now the magazine refuses to admit that it infringed on her copyright.

yea i dont think a recipe is that big of a deal...but then agian people always say if you give an inch theyll take a mile. But people that post things on the internet should always expect them to be exploited/taken advantage of and not cry about it when it happens...think about all the girls that are mad that ex's are posting their "pics" on the internet. Then again they werent thinking about that when they were sending them to them cause they "loved them, and theyre never going to break up" lol kids...and women

Lol this must have been on 4chan lately because in encyclopediadramatica.com when you type in Cooks Source it brings you to the plagiarism page. I had a hunch when on the Facebook page someone said "MOAR!!"

If you copy someone's copyrighted work without their permission--using it as your own, it's stealing. What do you think would happen if their roles were reversed? The magazine would hound every lawyer they have at her. She's completely wrong to assume that the internet is public domain--a belief many people seem to have as well. Even without a copyright notice posted, most work is assumed to take a "default" copyright.

 

As far as posting "teh nude pics", if they were consenting, there's nothing you can do about it. It's not "stealing". And if you weren't consenting but at that person's house/apartment, you're screwed. Unless of course you happen to be under whatever the age of consent is in your state, then the male (or female!) responsible for the picture/posting it gets to go on the sex offenders list for the rest of their lives as a pedophile.
