cockerstar Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Place a resonator as close as you can to the header outlet and then run a muffler in the back in the stock location. Do some research for what others are using. There's a lot more than the exhaust that effects the sound of the car that you should consider. josh817 Posted February 6, 2011 Share Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Here is my 3" exhaust with I don't know what muffler... 6-3-2 headers, also ran a generic MSA 6-1 header and it sounded similar. It's length is the same as the diameter of the "straight" sections. Okay maybe it's 4" long. hopefully that's not what *she* said. josh817 Posted February 11, 2011 Share Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) It's got a pretty obnoxious drone to it when cruising on the highway especially now. With the old T5 tranny, 5th gear was low enough for me to cruise doing 60-70 MPH under 3000 RPM before the cam came in. At 75 and up it become ridiculous. It was horrible driving 3 hours to the track. It may not be long but you have to admit it's pretty wide. Video doesn't show exhaust decibels very well since most cameras will turn the volume down.
