LoneStarS30Z
When does it sputter? During idle? During acceleration? A certain range of RPM's? Any weird sounds? Any weird smells?
Bernardd
Is it during warmup or after the car is warm? If it's after the car has warmed up try disconnecting the o2 sensor. This will increase the injection slightly. How do the new plugs look? Is a particular cylinder missing?

J240ZTurbo
idles great, but as soon I press the pedal its sputters, cold and hot both sputters I dont know whats wrong? Edited January 28, 2011 by juan240z
stprasinz
test cylinder head temp? fuel pressure? I think if you crank the idle pretty high then disconnect the head tempature sensor if it has the correct power (it will run pig nasty rich) as in no stumbleing. then I would guess the temp sensor. if not, then I would point toward fuel... factory service manual gives many tests to perform for various sensors... J240ZTurbo
I did notice that it usually stays at 1000 rpms and the pressure is at 30 is that ok?
J240ZTurbo
stprasinz looks like it was the head temp sensor, I cleaned the plug with some break cleaner and it runs good now, but how can I lower the rpms a little, its running at 1000-1100, we all know it suppost be at 800-900? thank you all for your help, Juan. stprasinz
the fuel pressure should be taken with the vaccum hose off. but if that was with it on thats about where it should be.... as for the idle there should be a screw to set it on the throttle body, also could be the ecu thinks that you are touching the throttle(disconnected tps?) or vaccum leak. roger.svoboda
look in the fsm tells you how to adjust the idle.
