1983 280zxt sputtering

test cylinder head temp? fuel pressure? I think if you crank the idle pretty high then disconnect the head tempature sensor if it has the correct power (it will run pig nasty rich) as in no stumbleing. then I would guess the temp sensor. if not, then I would point toward fuel... factory service manual gives many tests to perform for various sensors...

the fuel pressure should be taken with the vaccum hose off. but if that was with it on thats about where it should be.... as for the idle there should be a screw to set it on the throttle body, also could be the ecu thinks that you are touching the throttle(disconnected tps?) or vaccum leak.
