  1. They received all of the shirts without backorders and are starting on printing this afternoon!

  2. I believe I can help with that (sorry guys, I'm nearly a year late on my reply!) We address the various methods for determining assist level here: https://zpowersteering.com/?page_id=63 Bottom line, a hydraulic PS system is demand-based, so we've replicated that with our torque-sensing system and ECU. Speed, RPM, and time of day are utterly irrelevant to power assist delivery. Measuring torque differential via two inputs costs more, but it's simply the only way to accurately replicate the feel of a hydraulic setup. Thanks for all the positive comments! 3. I just picked up an 83 pretty cheap. The wiring harness and electrical components are junk, the engine is junk, the turbo is junk. I've done a lot of Ls swaps and after reading all seven pages of this and several months of research on the internet I have decided to just put a 4.3 L V6 in my car. The body and interior is pretty nice but I just want it to be reliable and not chop it up in case the next owner wants to restore it. I'm going to build my own front crossmember and move the steering to the front so the steering link leaves more room for exhaust. That way I can just use off the shelf parts and don't have to modify anything. If I decide I want more power I can add a GMC Syclone turbo kit. I'm using a 4.3 L with a 4L60E out of a 2007 Chevy pickup. I'm going to use the Astro van oil pan to give me clearance on the Cradle and build my own engine mounts after getting the engine where I want it in the chassis.

  4. I suppose it is time for some updates. Lots of work accomplished since holidays but not much to photograph. Finished all the strut builds and got them bolted up. Completed the clutch build and mated the tranny. Dropped engine back in and found if I raise the engine mounts 1/8" on each side it will clear my steering rack. Yeah. Finally caught up from my last minute changes and medical setbacks. I feel 10 years younger now and kicking ass in the shop. Getting closer to first fire. Have a 2nd Z car in the shop now and a 3rd coming. More on that later.
