4 Z's showed up...and well...the silver one made mine look like a toy... Major props to him for a job well done...it was super hot... I guess we need to get the CT Z meet set up...and I can think of one place...Hubbard park in Meriden... pics

got my Z a little bit polished up, it's running a little better...and I got another boosted Z to come and show up... now to plug the camera in for the battery re-charge....

You can get them from the JY...but would you really want to? If you do..and they decide to charge you..remind them...to give you a handwritten receipt with their name on it...so your family can sue them for selling a defective safety part in an event of an accident... They will let you walk out with it....hehe. But do you really want to?.... personally...I'd rather go and buy a brand new $60 race harness, and install it and wear it even for daily driving...than to trust a 30 year old OEM belt. But sadly...the DOT doesn't recognize any race belt's except Scrothe...and they run $160 each new... plus...most of the seatbelts I see in any car at any JY, are all old, moldy from the rain and dryrotted...and are not even worth the time to even get them... So I would get a set from someone here...and pay the shipping and a decent tip for their time.... But also...I'm not sure on all old cars...but if they did not come stock with the 3-point seatbelt, and the cop pulls you over on a suspition that you don't have a belt on...and he see's that there is only a lapbelt...and you have it on...then he can't do anything about it. More than likely...just tell him your car did not come with the shoulder belt, and wear your lapbelt...and he'll look at the age of the car...and will prolly let you go...unless he is a Z freak as well...and at that point...he'll prolly tell you about how many Z's he's had and you'll become good freinds...and he'll foreget why he even pulled you over in the first place....

another BTW post... if your in need of seat belts...you can go to any junkyard and get them for free....and also if your doing an online transaction for stock seatbelts...only pay for shipping. You can make a donation to the person you are getting the seatbelts from...but don't actually pay for them as you would a normal part bought thru ways other parts are bought as...that's to cover both parties intentions... If Auxilary *sold* you a seatbelt, and if in the event an accident did happen, and a death was involved...then the funky little lawyer with bad breath can come and sue Auxilary...for selling a faulty product... Also....by Law...Junkyards can't make a profit with seatbelts...but they can give them away... but racing harness's should fall under the same laws...but don't....because they are not DOT approved...except one...Scroth. Same applies to used JDM rims...which I have...but won't sell unless the buyer is fully aware that at the time of purchase...I releive all legal issues with the rims..and tell them I can not be held responsible for them after they take possesion of them.

A little off topic...but...ohh well. He'll be in the Airforce, so he willbe able to get their group rates on car insurance, which is almost half of what he would pay anyways....all service men can get better, cheaper, and decent insurance. Plus..When he's in Basic...going toward Tech school...they will ask him if he wants CONUS or non-CONUS for his first duty station...so if he wants...he will be stationed in the states or Oversea's...I'd highly suggest he puts in for Okinawa...I did...and I loved it down there. And if he does go there...then he will have to get an R33 and a completely different insurance company anyways... Also...I feel sorry for the kid, going to Basic in the hot months in Texas...I went in July 1990...and it was HOT AS HE11 at that time... Good luck with the cops there, and tell your son good luck and God's speed for his upcoming adventures...

I found one, bought it, and brought it back to America to have some fun with it. My Z is getting set up for drift and autocross. and I was going to build up an R200...but I found the R180 LSD first...so my project is going to be that. The diff in the Z is the stock R180, open diff, with the stock 260Z R&P...3.39 or something like that. I was told that I would do better at drifting and launch like a rocket if I had a 4.11 diff.......well...the LSD that I bought has the 4.11 ring on it...but no pinion... So now I got to track down a 4.11 pinion that will fit the R180...which so far is a hard to find item. I have a full diff and axles from a 78 280Z, stock...with the R200...that I can use for parts....if I need to use something from there. If I can't locate the 4.11 pinion in a week or two...then I might just use the stock 3.39 R&P..I'd have no problem with that....and then I'll just swap the LSD in..... But that brings me to the next problem... I looked into the LSD, and it is the circlip type for the axle's...so that means...I guess...that I have to do the CV axle swap...correct? from that point on...I'm lost..... After searching and reading all the info here on this site...and all the other sites...my mind is just boggled.... So what parts will I diffinately need to do the swap.... From what cars...what years, what trim model...etc..etc....? I see Maxima mentioned...but which ones....?

That reminds me...I need to hurry up and get my Honda running on boost again....just got a few more parts to get, and pull the old engine out...the new engine block is done.. FWIW...yes...I have a boosted CRX....with an LSD, and it kicks azz at the autocross.
